Travel requirements vary by homeport country. Be sure you’re aware of the homeport country, all ports of call & cruise line vaccine and testing requirements as they may differ. We’re committed to sharing the latest information with you within 30 days before you set sail. Please be sure to download the cruise line app and register for a guest account so we have your contact information.


The protocols are subject to change from time to time. It is the responsibility of the guests to keep up to date with information provided on the cruise lines website at www.royalcaribbean.com, www.celebritycruises.com, www.azamara.com, www.silversea.com.The cruise lines will also communicate via registered details of the guests from time to time.

Protocols for booked guests

Beginning with departures on September 5, 2022:

All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can cruise with us on sailings departing from U.S. and Europe ports (excluding sailings that visit Canada & Bermuda).



Testing Protocols.

. No pre-cruise test is required for vaccinated guests on cruises that are shorter than 10 nights.

. Unvaccinated guests age 5 and up will need to test within 3 days before boarding, regardless of cruise length for US sailings ; and ages 12 and older for select Europe sailings.

· We will begin accepting results from self-administered home tests.



Singapore Sailings

For Singapore Departures on Royal Caribbean International, guests 13 years and above need to be fully vaccinated with WHO/EMA approved vaccines.



Pre Cruise Testing
  •  No pre-cruise test is required for vaccinated guests on cruises that are shorter than 10 nights.
  •  Unvaccinated* kids will need to take a COVID test 3 days prior boarding.
  •  All guests ages 4 and below, do not require PCR or antigen test.
  •   Accepted tests - PCR or antigen tests, which now includes self-tests
  •   Proof of a negative test can be the printed or digital results, a clear photo of your self-test result, or your actual self-test in hand. 

  • * Any kids aged 5-12 with non-WHO EUL vaccines ( Sputnik, Corbevax) will NOT considered vaccinated and will need to follow the protocols for the unvaccinated guests.

    Required for all guests who wish to visit ports of call in Malaysia.



    - In order to go ashore in Malaysia 60 years old and above who are fully vaccinated with any type of COVID-19 vaccines are required to get a third dose of vaccine (booster) to keep their fully vaccinated status. This applies to all citizens and non-citizens.



    - Booster doses, though not required, are strongly recommended once you are eligible



    Vaccines approved by World Health Organization (WHO) or European Medicines Agency (EMA)


    You might be considered vaccinated by the cruise line however if the guest is not considered vaccinated by the countries visited like EMA the guests might have to undergo testing onboard at their own cost. Guests will be notified onboard about how to register for this test.
    For Azmara Crusies & Silverseas , the vaccination and testing protocols vary by itinerary. Please contact our cruise counsellor for details.

    NOTICE: Proof of vaccination will be recorded and may be reviewed for signs of fraud. Unauthorized use of an official government agency seal such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seal is a federal crime, and will be reported to the relevant government authorities.

    Requirements in other regions

    Currently published testing and vaccination requirements remain in place for other destinations - Australia, Singapore, Galapagos, South America, transatlantic sailings etc ; cruises that depart from or visit Canada or Bermuda; until further notice.



    Additional testing requirements for all ages will be advised from time to time on your registered email with the cruise lines.

    Royal Caribbean takes great pride in keeping our ships sparkling clean. Our evolved sanitization protocols use EPA-certified disinfectants and techniques like electrostatic fogging to clean frequently and consistently. Plus we’ve reduced the need to touch surfaces wherever possible

    Covid -19 Assistance

    For all RCI cruises scheduled till Apr 30, 2023, & all CEL cruises scheduled till Nov 30, 22 the guests will be covered for the following at no extra cost:
    - 100% refund/optional FCC if you or someone from the travelling party* tests positive within 10 days to sailing.
    - Pro-rated cruise fare refund for anyone who has their cruise cut short due to testing positive for COVID-19 or being suspected of having COVID-19 during the cruise.

    *“Traveling Party” means your family members living with you in the same household and traveling companions assigned to your stateroom on the cruise.
