Take the train on the White Pass and Yukon route. Fabulous views and a great experience!
THINGS TO DO AND SEE
There are little stores along main street that sell touristy souvenirs for you to take back home. Choose from artwork, needlework, jewelry and hand knit sweaters. And do buy a small gold nugget as a reminder of the quaintness of this little town.
GRAB A BITE
There are plenty of casual places to dine here. Sweet Tooth Cafe is for homely food and if you are looking for something a little more fancy then check out Olivia's at Skagway Inn.
The summer highs in Skagway are in the region of approximately 62F°/16 C; Skagway doesn't receive much rain in the year, but it is unpredictable so carry your wind cheater at all times.
The US dollar reigns. Credit cards are accepted everywhere and there are ATM machines for times when you need cash.
